This photo taking at the old Jax beach police station at the corner of Beach and third Street. Today it’s where the Walgreens is.
My father shot this rattlesnake in South Jax Beach, at a home around S. 1st St., and 19th Ave South. Were an elderly lady working in her yard and was chased to her front porch by this monster. My dad was scared to death of snakes! You can’t tell from the photo! Lol.
My dad simply said “that damn snake came at me“ weapon used, 12 gauge shotgun." -📷✒️Eric Thomas
