Body discovered in small white compact car in Neptune Beach at the former K Mart parking lot.

On 05/23/2023, at approximately 7:25 a.m., officers received a call about an unresponsive male in the area of
1st Avenue South and 10th Street South. This is an active death investigation. However, there is no immediate
danger to the school or public. As the investigation continues and more information is available it will be provided.
Update: One male pronounced dead, due to a gunshot.
