Missing Person
On 5/28/23, at approximately 7:36 p.m., Curtis A Newkirk, JR., a black male 19 years of age, 6’01” and
approximately 192 lbs., black hair and brown eyes, was last seen in the ocean, located in the 200 block Beach
Proper South. Mr. Newkirk was last seen wearing blue Nautica swim trunks with a red and yellow design. If
anyone has seen or knows the whereabouts of Mr. Newkirk, please contact the Jacksonville Beach Police
Department at 904-270-1667.
Update #1: On 5/29/23, at approximately 10:21 am, the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office and The Coast Guard assisted in the continued water search for Mr. Newkirk. Their respective aircraft and boats were utilized for this search.
As of 12:02 pm, on this date, Mr. Newkirk has not been found. All surrounding counties have been notified about
the continued search for Mr. Newkirk.
